I will be working until around 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve, then sit in my apartment on Christmas Day twiddling my thumbs, then work again on Thursday before hitting the road for a few hours Friday morning to see my family through Sunday noon or so, then it's back on the road to be working again Sunday afternoon.

Off to sweet home Chicago. Christmas Eve with Bunnygrrl's family, Christmas day with Mom and Grandma and Theben. Then tool around Chicago seeing old friends and haunts, and on Friday, Chicago Poly Meet!

Tuesday, if things are going well, I'll head for a party where George "Sulu" Takai is supposed to be in attendance.

I'll be my mom, dad and sis of Christmas Eve and Day. Enjoying luscious fish courses on the Eve and Lasagna on the Day.

My brother's home til the end of the week, good to see him again (probably won't see him again til his wedding in six months, though he did make ominous rumblings about having a bachelor party in Vegas sometime in the spring...)
Tomorrow the whole family heads to my uncle's in Indiana for a turkey dinner. The three cousins there aren't my favorite people in the world, but they're far from being my least favorite either. My grandma will also be there, and doubtless she'll talk our ears off, but I can bury myself in glorious turkey, so all is right with the world.
                Thursday the family's going skiing.
Friday's the Apolyton Chicago meet. Wutang.
Saturday through New Year's I'm crashing at a friend's house near Chicago. We'll probably drink ourselves into oblivion and gorge ourselves on spaghetti, like we always do when I crash at his place.
Jan 2nd I have to go back to the real world again. Ah well...

I feel your pain. I'll be working both Christmas and Christmas Eve, as well as New Years Day and New Years Eve. It's a clean sweep for me, having worked on Halloween and Thanksgiving as well.

My girlfriend and I will be hosting a small party nonetheless for a few of my friends who have nothing better to do on Christmas. I'm looking forward to it.

Yeah, well, folks want to have their morning newspaper on their front step at 6 a.m. Christmas Day, so I don't really have a choice in the matter, being the editor assigned to do 1A and a bunch of other pages Christmas Eve for Christmas Day.

                          Ah, yes, misery loves company.

I can't complain too much because I did get a 4-day holiday when Thanksgiving came 'round not too long ago. All I know is that I'm looking forward to seeing my family again, going to a movie or two, basking in the family home and eating out a time or two before heading back to my home.

Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.
