I didn't have much choice in the matter, since my parents are just as stubborn as I am. I think that my longest stretch in the corner (it wasn't called "time-out," it was called "standing in the corner") was about nine hours before I finally relented.
Yeah, my mom's damn stubborn too so we had some epic show-downs. What I often did is just go for a hike for a few hours (since I've got a national park within walking distance) which worked better for everyone than standing in the corner

Goodness, I seem to have been redbull II.

Now that I'm older I've reformed and have become a real rabble rouser. I even start a unionization effort and work...got us a huge raise and we're no longer "permatemps."

I was a complete **** who never gave in, or took authority figures seriously. I think it stems from the fact that my mom tried to make me feel guilty, and refused to talk to me every time I did anything , even the smallest thing wrong. One day, about 10, I just snapped and said "f*ck you *****, I don't need you.." that was that

Typical argument at school with a teacher:
*My handheld organiser alarm goes off*

Twho's never liked my organiser, even though I have to use it, being Dyslexic et al) Hand it over!
          Me: No
          T: Ahem. Hand it over
          Me: I said no!
          T: You're disrupting the lesson
Me: You're disrupting it by bothering about my organiser.
T: Give it now or I’ll talk to your class teacher
          Me: Ok, talk to him.
          T: *Snatches Organiser*
Me: That’s theft! You have no right to take my property!
T: Oh piss off to the Rector’s(head honcho) office!

So I did. I never got my damn property back, despite asking the Rector. In the end I called the police Got my revenge when I nicked all his textbooks and threw them in the lake at the park.

            i was usually too lazy

                Hmm...Homework.... Never did it myself.

T: Did you do your homework?

Me: No, I was in hospital, remember(glandular fever).

                T: Young man, I don't believe you.

Me: Do you want me to get the doctors note?

T: No, I wanted you to hand in the homework. Friday detention!

Me: Well fuck you, you ****. Give me a detention and I'll never do your homework again. (paraphrased)

*Writes out 2 detentions, reasons as "not doing homework" and "swearing"*

So I get out my lighter and burn the detention slips in front of a class of 20 (giggling) 16 year olds.

You really were quite the rebel weren't you? Ever considered becoming a communist?

I didn't really reveal myself completely on the first post... you don't know this about me... but here goes...

The worst thing I did was throw a brick through a window two years ago at school (nobody found out who it was). I am still a rebel. I never showed up for detentions... and when somebody was playing music I didn't like on the bus I ripped the tape out on about a half dozen occasions and threw it out the window. I eventually got into trouble for that when one of those tapes was the principal's and ended up picking garbage around the school for two days after school. Another incident was when I placed salt in some punch in the teacher's refrigerator.

I am also sometimes a bully, considering the tape out of the window incidents on the bus... there was this incident with some gum I placed on a seat where somebody who I hate sat on... hahaha.... and all I said was "I didn't do it, you fat ass bus monitor!" I got a Saturday detention for that. I no longer take the bus and take a remis (similar to a taxi service which is cheaper. About $3 pesos a ride here in Argentine).

                    I wonder, I really haven't changed.

And I didn't really reveal myself in the first post here.

Damn it, this rebel character I have doesn't work well with my political beliefs.

Edit: I almost forgot about the incident with the stink bombs... hey... which kind of rebel hasn't used that?
For there is [another] kind of violence, slower but just as deadly, destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night. This is the violence of institutions -- indifference, inaction, and decay. This is the violence that afflicts the poor, that poisons relations between men because their skin has different colors. - Bobby Kennedy (Mindless Menance of Violence)

I was a real good kid, almost a model of how a good kid should be... then I got extremly rebellious and evil. I used to pick fights almost every week. I used to have the 'itch' if I didnt get into a fight. Literally my fist was itching. I got to a point where some of my friends were too afraid and considered distancing the friedndship. I dunno why I had all the anger in me back then but I mellowed out ever since senior year of H.S and now im pretty much reverting back to the good kid. I guess I thought fighting is what made me, me since thats how I was recognized... a sick@$$ fighter. I ended up not liking most of my superficial friends that hung out with me for popularity anyway. Most of my friends forgot the crazy part of me and think im a geek now. And I like that.
                      :-p
