Too bad we can't bring him to trial for raping the country.

Humour is one thing....that clearly wasnt humurous.

Its exactly this kind of flippant male banter that sends out distorted signals to mankind about males roles in society....or would that be to hard for you to grasp Imraq ( im taking that its ok in your culture to belittle woman then ?)

No it's not OK .... but it IS OK to take your head out of your ass for 5 minutes and realise that the whole world isn't some seething cess-pool that needs your inflated sense of self-righteousness in order to be cleansed.
        Try it sometime.

Don't be so certian at this point Chris. The Dems could be out for revenge! But let's face it, the dems are spineless yesmen who always squander any political oppurtunity that they recieve. So You're probably right, truth be told.

No, it's always OK to make jokes about moral issues. Why wouldn't it be?

Mandarin, I hereby invoke my street creds as a lifelong firebrand feminist and social liberal and the soon-to-be-husband of a Women's Studies professor to say... come off it!!!

Jokes often are in bad taste, and it's certainly everybody's inalienable personal right to give the thumbs down to any joke, but when you say that making a joke about something is equivalent to spreading a message that it is okay, you are being a sanctimonious bully.

What you are implying is that when people tell or hear a joke they can't make the ethical and moral distinction between the humor (which is usually DEPENDENT on the inappropriateness of the action) and the inappropriateness of the action itself. Though, of course, Mandarin can.

                      That's just elitist and patronizing.

And now, for your personal pleasure, one of the most dead-on and hilarious jokes I know.

Q: "How many feminists does it take to screw in a light bulb?"
                      A: "That's not funny."

                      Thank you.

                        Kepler....

However seemingly eloquent your post tries to be it smacks of nothing more than a naughty little boy who needs to feel part of the bigger crowd. Sad

Your words are empty and foolish...

Dont give me a "plead the 5th/inalienable right" cr*p justification...it reaks of hypocrisy!

Ever heard of responsible talk? This is a public forum not a men's lavatory!

                          You are very strange.

Bothe left and right on these forums agree you can make jokes about things, wihtout humour we're ****ed and would probably be ruled by little authoritarian types like yourself who think they can dictate what we can or cannot say

No, just that some of us have higher morals and more respect for members of the opposite sex.

"We all knew ol' Bill's zipper was permanently stuck in the down position. We jes' didn't care, or think it was a national priority.
(Good ol') boys will be boys, and all that."

I dont think Clinton's actions were anything remotely resembling humurous considering the office he held!
