All I can say is how stupid can people be. Why the hell do teens have to copy everything they see on tv like they are 5 year olds? I hope his friends learned a lession out of all of this.

Yeah... his friends and family will sue MTV for damages related to the emotional trauma of seeing their friend die.

there's a disclaimer. mtv shouldn't be held responsible for other peoples stupidity. that crew is trained in stuntwork. do we see kids trying to imitate scenes from the matrix? no...

My last post was made sarcastically.... personally, I think the kids were exceptionally foolish (on that note, I think 'Jackass' is exceptionally foolish), and there certainly shouldn't be ANYONE profiting from this gross stupidity.

i enjoy jackass, but if it wasn't jackass telling them do do stupid things, it would be the satanic messages in the music.

                How ridiculous, and tragic...

He doesn't look like a bright spark in his picture, and judging by his death he prolly wasn't. Not a big loss to the world then, bar his immediate family and friends...

Over the years I've treated several kids who tried to imitate WWF type wrestling moves. There have been several private "schools" in this area teaching that sort of stuff. Some of the stuff I've seen these guys do is incredibley stupid, like hitting each other with real chairs. I've spent long sessions with these guys trying to make them understand that the chairs used in WWF are fake. Fortunately the last of these "schools" went out of business.

while it's tragic and everything, you really have to be a dull **** to do something like this...

My thoughts precisely. Hence, the thread title

As Steve Irwin (the Crocodile Hunter) might say, "That's nature's way.."

He was 15, just a kid. People don't realize, but the bodies of young teenagers aren't really as tough as those of older teens and young adults.
