  • Nemesis isn't even out in euroland yet and we already want ST11

Ok, I'm pushing it, and there are only so many posts that non-trekkies can take from us, but what the hell.

We've all read the thread on Nemesis. Last TNG movie blah blah blah... So I asume the next one will be a DS9 movie (with TNG cross over elements).

I want to know what everyone's ideas are for a viable (that means realistic!) DS9 movie. Remeber:

Sisko is a god like Prophet (like Jesus Christ for the Bajorans) and stuck in the celestial temple until the prophets boot his ass out into the world to do stuff. He has a journalist son that could be like... er... jesus christ?
Kira is pretty much Leader and all.
O'Brien is teaching at starfleet (not for long I guess).
Quark has the last capitalist ferengi bar in the galaxy.
Nog is in starfleet (watch him get promoted to captain before Riker, typical)
Rom is Grand Negus (with superbabe wife).
And there's Ezri Dax, and Bashir, and many many more...

so what do we do with all these people?

Not a lot, I didn't get the impression there was much further they could go with DS9...they killed it off quite comprehensively...

I liked DS9, I actually preferred it to Babylon 5.

What about stealing Peter David's ideas and basing the new movies around the USS Excalibur? I for one would kill to see the Tholian Empire.

Tholians rock, yes, but selling that to the trekkies would be tough as there are many tv only trekkies who don't read the books. One of my fav Original Series episodes was the Tholian Web. We have more chance of an Enterprize movie.

i never watched DS9, so i doubt i would go see the movie. I think I would be more likely to go see a voyager movie (in the hopes that they just might kill off janeway and crash the ship)

She's an admiral now. I think they promoted her to keep her out of the field when they heard about the pact with the Borg.

They are from the original series. Speaking of which the Gorn would also be cool to see in a movie.

Oh they will crash it alright. They have to destroy Voyager so that they can replace it with Voyager-A. Anyways, voyager has crashed loads of times in the series, aren't you satisfied?

                          You ignorant fool! Bah hahahahahahaaa!!!!

                          Just kidding...

The plot for the Tholian Web episode 65:

The Enterprise is sent to investigate the disappearance of he USS Defiant, which has been missing for three weeks. The Defiant is found adrift in an unexplored quardant of space, trapped between universes, and her crew murdered each other because of the rip in space. Kirk, Spock, McCoy, and Chekov beam to the fading ship in space suits. The transporter is weak, so all but Kirk beam back, trapping Kirk in hyperspace. Meanwhile, the Tholians arrive (at velocity 0.15c) and ask the crew to leave their territory. Spock, in command, says they are rescuing their captain from a rip in space, and that they will leave in 132 minutes. The Tholian ship disturbed the space, however, causing Kirk not to fade back in at the appropriate time. The Tholians, known for their punctuality (even though they are a race unknown to the Federation), fire upon the Enterprise. Spock shoots back in self-defense (since they closed off communications). Another Tholian ship arrives and the two very slowly put up a web-like force field. Meanwhile, the crew of the Enterprise is becoming murderous (due to the strange physical properties of the area surrounding the rift), McCoy is flaming about Spock wanting command of the Enterprise. Spock declares Kirk dead. Kirk appears in Uhura's mirror, in engineering, then on the bridge. Spock zooms out 2.72 parsecs (with Kirk (almost out of oxygen) in the transporter beam apparently - I'll bet his stomach loved that). Spock and McCoy both LIE to Kirk and say that they didn't listen to his last orders. Spock says there are (not "there might be") several universes in parallel.

http://www.felixent.force9.co.uk/art15.html is a link to a page explaining the Tholian race.

Ok, back to topic, yes! Gorn! Rock on! He could reclaim his title as prince or something. Ambasador Worf could help him with that.
