WinXp as my Default, WinMe as "Just-in-case-something-goes-wrong-and-I-can't-use-WinXp-anymore"...

    Where's the multi-choice?

No, not the original. I haven't used the original in over three years, and I don't intend to start using it ever again.

my laptop is dual boot WinXP Pro / RedHat 8.0

i use windows a lot though. the RH is merely there for a few things. some things @ uni are *nix based, i might as well get used to it, eventually i'm going to have to use it.

theres all sorts of crap on the clusters up here, solaris, classic unix, win 3.1, win 2k, you name it.

I use XP Pro on my laptop,
              P4m 1.6GHz

an upgraded XP Pro (from Win98SE) on my computer
              P3 550MHz

Both have 256MB of RAM and 32MB of video RAM.

... and I have this cheap Windows for Workgroups 3.11 (notice the extra '1'). I use this one for my old DOS games.

(Be ready to be floored by these stats!)

              P90MHz
8MB EDO RAM (Oh, the good ol' days)
2MB Video Card (Cirrus Logic.... eat your heart out nVidia! )
              8x CD-ROM Drive
              a 3" and 5" Floppy drives
              A 512MB Hard Drive
              A 15" monitor with a 12" viewable screen
A keyboard with the function keys on the left (that makes real noises! *clink* *clink* *clink*
              A three button mouse!
And of course, a generic Sound Blaster sound card.

Eat your heart out with that one!!!
I drink to one other, and may that other be he, to drink to another, and may that other be me!

windows 98. I have never had problems until recently. I'm still not sure what to do about it.

But after my last windows problem (as a result of that xupiter thing), I was glad to have DOS so I could save my files.

Does ME have DOS on it? I cannot live without DOS.

Funny, as there is no such thing as NT 2.0

                              Use on a regular basis:
Windows 98 and 98 SE, various flavors of Solaris/Unix.

                              Use occasionally/rarely:
Dos/Windows 3.11, MacOS, Windows XP, Linux, Windows 2000.

                              Will never use again, ever:
                              Windows ME

Funny, because that's what the splash screen says. It's one of those Win3.1 type WinNTs.
