I really hope you'll reconsider someday. After all, you seem to like the proffession.

Pekka: I hope you get to go to University. If you will try to take the military career after all, there are plenty of places where people look for soldiers, and you get plenty of action. Once again, if that's what you want.

All this stuff looking through these career stuff, all these tests, different rounds of interviews and I can barely get past the first round or even get that far. What chance is there in this world for someone like me?

        you're a Mol. Biochemistry M.Sc. and you still can't get a job?

have you tried internet searches? perhaps you should move to another country.

what do you mean by "can't compete." ?

You said that you liked the science. I don't know about the UK by this proffession is rather hot here. as are all chemistry and health related proffessions: pharmaceuptics(sp?), biology, biotechnology, bio-medical eng., biochemistry, chemistry, materials eng. ....

I guess you wouldn't like it HERE, plus you don't know the language, but europe should have those jobs as well, or maybe even the US...

Pekka: how about coming to Israel for a year or so, and becoming a pro-bodyguard?

I mean, I cannot compete against other people, they seem to be able to get the jobs which I cannot...I just consider my life to be a bit of a lost cause now. That is what you get for ever having any kind of ambition...

You don't have to do any particular profession.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is to change professions. A lot of careers pay better than you think. I made more as a freight train conductor than I did as a Systems Analyst. (i was treated better too)

As for interviews, one month you can do 30 and not
get a bite. Another month and they'll be fighting over
you. Don't try and apply logic to business practices
office politics or interviews, their is none, and you just drive yourself nuts.

I just don't know, no one seems to ever take me seriously, probably all my own fault, the way I am, the way I get nervous, how stupid I must come across. There is nothing I can do about it, it just feel completely and utterly lost.

oh, for sure, Ozz. I, for once thought it all out. I can't recieve prestiege through science I'll go to politics, if not politics commerce, if all fails, I'll become a truck driver.

PH: au contraire. you seem to have a lack of ambition. You should perhaps see a specialist that would help you gear up before interviews and stuff like that, come in with a winner attitude. Is the job market saturated with your kind?

Actually I had more prestiege at the local watering hole
as a Trainman than a systems analyst, better stories too.

PH, that would be cool . I am actually very interested for all the info..

UR, well maybe a little.. but it's also exiting and I believe if you really go for it, good things might just happen.

Azazel, Yeah, you're pretty much suggesting mercenary jobs.. I've thought about them.. but there are few problems (yeah, like people always get perfect solutions!).. for example it's very illegal, at least here in Finland it is. So I'd get in deep poop if I did that. I'd have to hide it from the law enforcement etc.. also it pays pretty lousy, it's super dangerous, people scew you over, and if you get caught by enemy.. well they pretty much torture you for 60 days. Well, that is exiting fighting and all I've been talking about I want to do.. but I'd rather fight in legal forces, if that is possible. But I haven't completely turned down that option, if it's the last one (I get no place to study, or work, no forces to fight with.. pretty much after that) I might go into that business, or at least consider it veeeeeeeery hard. It's just I don't see any future if I go there. I'm about 100% dead for sure, tortured and mutalated. That can happen in national forces too, but in merc business it's likely to happen.. so it's risky. And also there might some war crimes done, I don't want any parts of that kind of action (sure it happens with everyone, not just mercs, or especially by mercs.. ).. you get what I mean. I will look for other options first.

Becoming bodyguard in Israel could be something I'd like to do. It's little different though, it's super risky business, especially in Israel it seems like. I'm not looking for to live forever, but as bodyguard, you guard the client with your life, and pretty much not combat with visible enemies. I might think about that too, we have a great bodyguard school here in Finland. There's only one, but the teacher is famous for being very good, and he has a reputation all over the world.. so I might think about it, also it's good business in Israel, I would assume. Here theres pretty much no work in that sector, since the president is only one with bodyguards, and they are pretty much there because it's in the rules. Even the the prime minister shop in the malls like normal Jill and Joe and buy their everyday groceries in normal places, in the public. I guess we are lucky in that sense.
Interesting suggestion, I have never ever thought of it. I have the build for it (I don't look like Stallone, but I'm big and pretty strong), and with proper training I could do well. But it's completely different business than soldier stuff. Anyway, I'm looking for a place to study, that's my passion (comp sci), and that's what I really want to do. Soldiering is my other options, and other stuff than those too.. I just don't care, and I'm not interested, I can't help it.

ANd no, I can't really make money and save it, every finn knows that. I eat everything I make now. Salaries here SUCKS big time. But that's cool, the chance taking here for me meant 70% about loosing security.

You can train as a pro-bodyguard in Israel but get a job somewhere else. Working as a bodyguard in Israel is rather boring, actually.

There are armies that offer mercenary contracts. The Russian Federation, IIRC is hiring. You should really check things out.

About studying: Yes, this DEFINETLY should be your first option. All I am saying is that if you like to work in what you want to study, try to get into college. If you fail, You'd rather want an interesting job rather than a boring one, right?
