  • It's a boy! Part II

    Hey all...
    Haven't been around much...life seems to be moving at light speed lately.
    Just found out that we are having another boy...a little buddy for Prosper to beat the **** out of in a year or two!
    Mom and fetus are doing fine...I just started a new job (finally) as a Body Shop manager...pretty blue collar but I like it...lots of different jobs to do and people to shmooze...all in a family owned (Korean) atmosphere. I'm estimating cars, managing workflow, wrangling with insurance adjusters, etc. It isn't bad, so far. In this economic climate (Oregon has the worst unemployment in the country) any job is a good job.
    My son is going totally ape **** development and behavior-wise...18 months seems to be a big phase...he's on the cusp of busting out with his own sentences and is quite the little mimic. He's a very good boy for the most part and doesn't give us any grief except for running us into the ground with his limitless energy.
    I can't even begin to imagine what it is going to be like with two boys, 22 months apart.
    Early front runners in the name department are Nathan or Zane (Patrick) Bernhard.
    Hope all are well and enjoying the holidays!
    Life and death is a grave matter;
    all things pass quickly away.
    Each of you must be completely alert;
    never neglectful, never indulgent.

                      [non of my business nosy parker intervins]Why not? That way you can plan all the correct arrangements beforehand. Room, toys, cradle etc.

                      Wouldn't want your boy to grow up in a pink room. It'd turn out like Red_Jon.

                        Room, toys, cradle etc.

                        Huh? Baby boys have different cradles than girls in Greece? And I don't think they would recognise the difference in rooms... And I can see it before me, little one-minute-old Paiktis wants to play soccer instead of playing with the doll his parents got him

                          Nooo...

                          The rooms can be pretty much the same. Although traditionally. Boys = Blue room. Girls = Pink room, yes.

                          But I mean, besides the rooms, toys, clothes etc, if you know if you'll have a boy or a girl you can dream better.

                          For example I'll take him to the basketball games and all those sort of things.

                            I think that both psychologically and practically it is better to know beforehand.

                            But I admit I was never close to being a father yet (thank God ) so I'm just saying what I think about that issue now.
