  • Who would you like to see as President of the US of E?

Assuming Europe became a federal superstate and the Prez had political powers such as in America, who would you want as the first President?

My vote is for Tony Blair. Failing that anyone who isn't Greek, Italian, French, German, Austrian, Portuguese or Spanish.
One day Canada will rule the world, and then we'll all be sorry.

Paiktis. It'd be funny to see how he'd handle everything.

"Mr. President, the British have failed to ratify Directive MT/2636".

      "Useless gay Brits".
"Paul Hanson, you should give Gibraltar back to the Spanish" - Paiktis, dramatically over-estimating my influence in diplomatic circles.

Eyewerks - you know you want to visit. No really, you do. Go on, click me.

Well a (much less powerful) presidency has been proposed - the leading contenders are Mr Blair of Britian and Mr Aznar of Spain.

              Aznar would get my vote.

Not Tony Blair. He would make the whole Europe a pet of America, just like Britain is now. This would be no real improvement to the current situation and render the whole US of E idea braindead. Unfortunately, I can't offer an alternative. I don't know a single politician in Europe who I would trust for this office. May be paiktis would the best choice. Not that I'd expect any good from him, but at least he could give me a good laugh from time to time .

Great, let's vote for Schroeder, Chirac, or Berlusconi.

To be honest, I have hard time identifying any inspiring European leaders except for Blair.

That's if you consider Blair inspiring.
