Kontiki, I stand corrected. You are right of course. If Germany attacks the USSR, the French and the Brits would have declared war on Germany knowing that as soon as Germany won, they too would be in great peril.

Now, what if the USSR instead attacks Germany?

I think that the west would of done nothing if Germany attacked the USSR. Lukily for us, there was some other countries in the way (Poland) which needed to be invaded first, thus saving the world from Facsism (hopefully forever)

The French and British rulling classes really hated Stalin. But they were stupid to think that if Nazism hated Communism, they obvously liked democracies. So foolish......
