That would be the classic story with a hole. He's a midget. When it rains, he can use his umbrella to hit the 15 button. Otherwise, he can only reach up to the 7 button.
    All syllogisms have three parts.
Therefore this is not a syllogism.

SnowFire has part of it right--he's a midget--and that is one of the correct answers now that I think of it. Knowing that he's a midget, does anyone else want to guess the other correct answer(s)?

When there are other people in the elevator too, he asks them to push the right button.

            Hey, you're learning fast!
(Sorry about it, but being called Zero seems somewhat... negative. Okay, that didn't make much sense, numerically, but you know what I mean.)

Now, let's have a new riddle:
You have nine glasses standing in a line, like this:

            uUUUUUuuu

where the glasses represented by "u" are empty, while the glasses represented by "U" contain beer. Now, your goal is to make the glasses in the line alternate between empty and full. But you may only move two glasses!

            How is it done?

Pour the contents of the third glass to the eight glass and put it back.
Drink contents of fifth glass (or otherwise dispose of them) and put it back.

Empty the third cup into the eighth cup, and return it the third position:

                uUuUUUuUu

                Pour/drink the fifth cup:

                uUuUuUuUu

Edit: I guess I was too slow.

Not a brain teaser, but I found this funny and didn't want to start a new thread....

What is the optimum way of shoelacing?

Answer can be found at http://www.newscientist.com/news/news.jsp?id=ns99993136

Shopkeepers cash register is broken and he is using a calculator to add the values.
A customer buys 4 items for total of 8,19 dollars.
After he has taken the money shopkeeper realises that he had multiplied the prices instead of adding them.
Being a honest man, he quickly calculates the total again and is about to stop the customer from leaving, but to his surprise, the sum of the prices is exactly the same: 8,19

What were the prices of the items bought?

                            0.84 , 1.00 , 2.60 , 3.75 or
                            1.04 , 1.25 , 1.40 , 4.50

I wrote a program to check all these values.
If you allow rounding, there a dozens of valid combinations.

                              That is correct.
Bonus points for finding both sets of possible values
