Maybe it is the sub-culture thing. My black teacher in 8th grade was one of the best guys I ever knew.
Believe me, I know a lot of white girls who are fluent in Ebonics and think are gonna be stars on Ricki Lake or springer. A lot of it, I think, has to do with the Rap and gangster mentality that gets pushed in movies, music, and the media.
I think, regardless of skin color, it's a poor outlook on life, and avoid any women who act that way.

People are naturally inclined to be more attracted to others the same race as their own (similar origins). That's just how it is... nothing racist about it, unless you turn it into that kind of an issue.
This couldn't be more wrong for me, love asian, hispanic, Middle Eastern and other groups sometimes more then I think I like white women. Have no idea why this is, perhaps I just got bored of what I saw all over in magazines, movies and TV. Never got a strong attraction to black women as a whole. Most of the black women I am attracted have mainly white features.
I don't associate black "attitude" with Jerry Springer or trailor trash. I think many black women are brought up to be strong and speak their mind and God bless em.
Lazarus, that may be due to a kind of 'exotic' mentality associated with that sort of thing. Just speculation of course.

Indeed. It goes both ways. I live in an area that's about 1/2 white, 1/4 hispanic and 1/4 black so I know what you mean.
To be honest I go for white or mediterranean girls mainly. Not necessarily by conscious choice, but it's what I find attractive.
Some black women can be hot, but there often too likely to be uhm "large boned". Far East Asian women are too small and skinny (I am 6'5" 210 so logistics count too ). Indian Subcontinent women can be very attractive, but the sex appeal isn't really there.
Anyway I am a sucker for green eyes and/or Irish accents, which you won't really find in anything other than Irish girls, who tend to have pale skin...

How about it's their fault for being so fat?
I don't mind a few extra pounds in the right places, but it is possible to do something about your weight..

I thought among all people, you would oppose to beauty contests on the grounds of feminism.
I do oppose them. I oppose them on the grounds, that, regardless of whether the pagents are about beauty or some other criteria, they are attempting to define "the perfect woman." This is sexist regardless of whether or not it is about beauty. (Beauty pagents for children, however, and a completely different kind of disturbing).
What I was objecting to previously was the comment that beauty pagents are merely about pretty dumb bimbos, which in and of itself is a sexist critique.

Nope. Although I must say I'm surprised that not many agreed with my comment about their attitude problem.
That's because most of us realize that you are the one with the attitude problem, so we laugh at you.

About a b'zillion years ago when I was going to community college, a controversy arose when some men started complaining that they weren't permitted to enter to college's beauty contest. One suggested remedy (which unfortunately wasn't adopted) would be to open the contest to both genders...with only one winner. Now, that would have been an interesting contest.
Boddington's is a troll...he said that just to get a rise out of you...
anyhow, as for that part of the discussion, I can honestly say that I like light skinned girls. But to me an African or an Asian can be light skinned for their race, and I find that attractive.
I'll also admit that I prefer straight hair to curly or 'black' hair...so when a black girl is light skinned and has straight hair, it's much more likely I'll be attracted to her.
But of course there are always exceptions, and some girls just look good no matter what they have or don't have...
The Angola pic for example...not light skinned but I find her attractive

Beauty contests are interesting. They do broadcast an image of how women 'should be', but on the other hand, aren't they a representation of popular perceptions? A mirror instead of an arguement?
I like women of all races and creeds, honestly! Although dark-haired, chocolate skinned women make me go all rubbery, thats just a superficial thing...
So who did I end up marrying? A brown haired, green-eyed, pale-skinned Anglo-Saxon. C'est la vie

I kind of agree with their attitude problem if you look at my post closely.
But do you find that is a problem even in England? I find black women have an attitude problem here. But many were raised in single parent homes with no father. They have no idea how to treat a man. Again this is not a knock on their race. It's more of a poverty issue with higher divorce rates. Many white women who grew up with no father have no idea how to treat a man as well.
God, the racism, sexism and general bigotry in this thread is astounding, especially from you dissident
No idea how to treat a man? I'm sure you would have been much more comfortable in victorian times. How do you treat your women?
I like women. I don't mind if they are black, white, yellow, brown, red or even purple. You can find a lot of differences in women from various races. It is a matter of how attractive that particular woman is.
