Miss World - The Fashion Report
Miss Brazil: In the first picture we have the classic sexed up little black dress, most often seen on award shows. The dress is flattering, but those earrings are an abomination and far too distracting. I would have chosen the little thin ones that dangle. In the second picture… just WAY too many feathers! Nice hair design in the second, however.
Grade: B
Miss Bulgaria: A bikini. Oh boy. Yes, it does show off her anorexia-like beauty, but the colors and design remind me of pre-schoolers playing in their pajamas.
Grade: C+
Miss Canada: Seems to be some sort of blue wrap around. Not enough to make a truly critical judgement. Her hair in the first is very pretty, but extremely unnoticeable. In the second picture her dress is almost unspeakably horrible! Horrible color, probably chosen cause it matches her lipstick. It is the most bland peice of apparel ever created, I think! Why doesn't she just wear a füking burlap bag and be done with it?
Grade: D
Miss Chile: Hmmmm… a difficult decision. I do like the sleeves, but the ruffles on the front could be replaced by something, anything a lot more stylish. And what a füking large bra!!!
Grade: B-
Miss China: Black and white contrast, nice. The dress goes nicely with her hair, although it's nothing special. Nice pose.
Grade: B-
Miss Columbia: If there were a vomit smiley this would be it. Why is she deliberately trying to undermine her good looks with atrocities such as this??? Hint - if you want to win miss world, don't go with the horrible awful shade of blue business suit! The lipstick totally clashes with the dress, also.
Grade: F
Miss Croatia: What a large mouth, first of all! Thi white thing isn't terrible, and does make her look a bit classy and elegant, in my mind, but it all seems a bit too teeny-bopperish for me.
Grade: B
Miss Curacao: Nice ensemble indeed! The very first dress I've seen here that I would actually buy as a present for someone! It flatters her figure, the tone of red is deep and rich, and the design of the sparkling thingamajigs is not overdone at all. the lips and dress go PERFECTLY together and… oh man… where is Curacao again???
Grade: A
Miss Cyprus: Poor Miss Cyprus! There's little that can be done to salvage a person with a make up job like this! I will say that it's the nicest dress suit I've seen so far, simply because it all seems so pristine and elegant. The right amount of bosom showing, in my opinion.
Grade: B
Miss Czech Republic: Totally cool. The reason she made my top three picks was this very pretty, quality looking turtleneck, combined with a face that looks eminently kissable. Cool belt, as well, although if the picture had extended lower, my opinion might be swayed more negatively, judging from the design seen here.
Grade: B+
Miss Ecuador: An outfit to make her look fifteen! Although it's pretty, and flatters her, without going overboard, it is still waaaaay too reminiscent of Brittney Spears.
Grade: B
Miss England: What is there for me to judge? I'll judge what we see, a merely adequate make up job and a black dress with some cheap floral design haphazardly sewn on. Lose the flower, England!
Miss Estonia: No comment. Only a headshot, not nearly enough for me to say.
Miss Finland: HELLO ABBA! Welcome back to the seventies, laides and gents, with a new century twist! My god… the whole picture is just sooooo goddamn… PALE! Pale even by FINNISH standards!
Grade: B-
Miss France: Totally forgettable. Come on, what happened to the legendary French sense of style??? Heck, the assistant language at the french department here, who hails from Paris, is FAAAAR cuter and a way better dresser than that!
Grade: C
