Best mediterranean country?

face it Datajack, Italy is big country, but even Croatia (pop 4.5 million) can and is more then happy to kick your ass in most sports that mean a thing, for example we have olympics medals in basketball, handball and so on. we are better in waterpolo and football




and our female skiers kick your weak Italian ass. period.

access to the sea - check

cool beaches - check

great opportunities to do some snowboarding - check but you have to travel a bit. Although it is possible to find both in relatively close proximity. But not in summer I imagine.

nice girls - check

and open girls - not check

busy night life - check depending on where you go

safe to go out as in you won't get mugged easily? - check everywhere.

rich culture - check but that's subjective.

good access to neighbouring countries - check but the only ones worth visiting from here would be Turkey, Italy and Egypt. OK and Croatia

and not hostile to travellers? - check but they'll try to rip you off - be warned. but they do it with a smile.

Most are like that though at least in S. Europe I think.

paiktis, That's 100% what I thought of Greece, with own experience. It's very nice.. but I don't know about those slopes.. My ideal vacation is that I could do some intensive snowboarding in a good place (prefer mountain), and drive less than who hours to come back and enjoy the rest of the day in beach, then going out to check out the night life and perhaps meet some LOCAL girls. No more Ulrikas or Janes.. No offence.

croatia. we have lots of checz and slovak tourists and they are not too rich

mountains? slovenia (the sunny side of alps ) is near, but only in winter there is snow, and sea is not that warm then, except to a finn maybe

eeh girls here sure are beautiful, but can be tough to get. tougher then the ones in north, but still they are just girls so if you have required skill

nobody renamed the cities. The cities have had slavic names always, but the Italian administration in wwII used Italian names and we use slavic today

itallians were collaborators in wwII, they passed off lightly for what they did

yugoslavia and Italy made agreement which regulates all territorial isues as well as refugees. most of the damage money was payed to the italian government, some still remains

but italian govt. didnt pay it to the refugees
