    LulThyme
pronounced in French same as "L'ultime" The ultimate
almost noone notices even french speakers which is fun.
A few years ago (96 if im not mistaken) I was in a pharmacy, waiting for my name to be called with a friend, and I was saying it would be fun to take a real word and adding lots of useless letters like there are so many in French that wouldnt change the sound but make it almost unrecognizable.
There happened to be lots of those corny flaky love books, with titles such as "L'ultime passion" (or The Ultimate Passion) and red covers with a drawing of some hunky guy kissing a not-much dressed lovely lady, so that was my inspiration.
I used it on my fav BBS that evening and it has stuck since then (6 years ago now).

    Its been really succesfull
I use Lul as a short for it (some of my rl friends who play a lot online with me even call me lul sometimes and yes i know it has a funny meaning in dutch)
and usually seperate it Lul Thyme, LulThyme, or Lul_Thyme depending on what kind of characters are allowed.
the seperation makes it even harder to notice the meaning for a French speaker
The only ppl who notice really are those who actually try to pronounce it assuming it is French (if u prounouce it as if it were english it doesnt work)

Chill name, smoove. I got my name after hearing an Onion audio segment, being interested by a new word I heard, and deciding to find out what it meant.

Then I added an X for the Malcolm X flavoring.

I'm surprise your name hasn't been censored.

I'm not. It's far more acceptable than *****, ****, *** or ****, (the female dog, two birds and the Vice-Prez). Simply because nobody knows what it means.

It started out as a username that I though sounded cool. I have since built an entire psychological complex around it with varying degrees of meglomania and a godhood fixation worked in.
Exult in your existence, because that very process has blundered unwittingly on its own negation. Only a small, local negation, to be sure: only one species, and only a minority of that species; but there lies hope. [...] Stand tall, Bipedal Ape. The shark may outswim you, the cheetah outrun you, the swift outfly you, the capuchin outclimb you, the elephant outpower you, the redwood outlast you. But you have the biggest gifts of all: the gift of understanding the ruthlessly cruel process that gave us all existence [and the] gift of revulsion against its implications.

Love this thread, except that I'm very disappointed that Loinburger is actually just a hamburger.

Kassiopeia, don't change your name, it has an excellent ring to it.

redbull, is that your favourite drink?

As for MattyBoy, it's a nickname I picked up while playing D&D with my older brother and his friends. Fatty and MagnumFlatty somehow didn't work as well for me and Batman was taken.

I'm Norwegian, need I say more? My classmates call me Selz, since my last name (Selseth) sounds like the shampoo Selsun Blue.

I called myself mafia for quake II
it was taken when i ttried to set up e-mail accounts, so I changed it to newmafia or neomafia
then after getting stoned as hell, and becoming a felon, I questioned my sanity, and wondered if I was somehow trying to carry out some alter ego.
So I changed it to NeOmega.... mostly because spelling it NeO with O being the omega symbol would look cool in my opinion.

                            What a sad, sad story...

It was the name I used for an elven conjurer back in 2nd edition D&D. His name was Lorizael Lomaut, master of the Grease Spell (and creator of the spell, Lorizael's Grease). He was my favorite character, though now my favorite character is Theces Pyorial, a somewhat less heroic person than Lorizael was.

Anyhow, I always thought the name was very creative so I used it for everything and really loved the name. Couple months ago I was reading the second edition Eldar Codex from Warhammer 40,000 and lo and behold, there's a one page story fragment with a single mention of an Eldar Guardian named Lorizael.

Apparently my mind remembered the name, and when I was looking for a cool sounding elven name (Eldar are just Space Elves, basically), it pulled this from the deep recesses of my memory. So sad... I was so disappointed. Best name I'd ever invented...

So I think I'll probably start using Theces Pyorial and Zirectiliac (character from a novel I'm writing) instead of Lorizael, but I don't know, I still like the name.

Hmm, I wrote far too much for the little that I actually said.

I couldn't think of a good name, so I just kept the default name that the 'poly registration wizard created.
