Remind me how - I can't seem to find it and I'm not going to search everywhere for it. I would think it would be in the display CP, with the checkboxes for all the other desktop icons, but it's not there.

Right-click on the recycling bin, I'm sure there is an option there somewhere to hide it.I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).Comment

Type: gpedit.msc
Navigate to: User Configuration >Administrative Templates > Desktop.
On the right hand plane find " Remove Recycle Bin icon on the desktop ", double-click to open its properties window, and then ENABLE it, and the bin's gone.Comment
