Neon Exodus Evangelion on myös vilkaisun arvoinen. Sitten kun mina saan taman koko sarjan (+elokuvan) kerralla katsottavakseni, mina ajan koko perheen hankeen, laitan oveen kyltin etta "ken tasta kay saa kaiken toivon heittaa", sammutan kannykan ja ajan 'ifdown eth0', suljen ikkunat (paitsi etta ennan sulkemista heitan television ulos) ja alan hengittamaan suoraan happipullosta... Ja katson koko sarjan lapi kahdesti taydella intensiteetilla niin aanen kuin kuvan suhteen. Olen KYPSA. Kypsa siihen, etta televisio hukuttaa alleen kaiken musiikin mita saattaisi lainkaan kuulla. Kypsa siihen, etta isoveli kommentoi ettei han nae mitaan eroa Pokémonin ja katsomani valilla. Yleinen kadunmiehen käsitys tyypillisestä animesta on se mitä näemme viikonloppuaamuisin televisiosta - Pokemon, Digimon ja äskeittäin ruutuun tullut Magic Knight Rayearth ovat animea. Lisäksi kahdella edellisellä vuosikymmenellä on näytetty muitakin lastensarjoja. On kuitenkin väärin mieltää kaikki anime edellämainittujen sarjojen kaltaisiksi.
Nämä kolme ovat lapsille suunnattua animea, samalla tavalla kuin länsimaissa tehdyt piirretyt. IOW (and I'm tired of typing a's and o's wrong so I'll say this in English) I've just watched anime for almost two days straight, not getting a single moment of PEACE and now, when I get to the finale and I should have some fun (the kind of fun watching NGE is)... I'm told that "hey, you've been watching that Pokémon thingy whole weekend, haven't you already had enough? We'll go to the bar soon anyway" (and those who said it haven't yet shown any sign of leaving, after half an hour). I really, REALLY need to kill somebody. Now. Rather several people, actually. I need to cause pain. I need to sacrifice something to the gods of anger.
