Because I was busy at the time I got the job I didn't get the post. Besides it is only an ongoing post which gets me a bit of money, nothing too significant in terms of career moves. That is still going on...

I always report my political activity unspecified, that way no-one will get offended. On my college application I stated that I'd been "chairman of a local club of one of sweden's largest Party youth leagues" and left it at that.

My political affiliations have been, needless to say, not included on my CV Besides, what business is it of theirs anyway, just because I will be organising a revolutionary cell in the workplace

I hardly think you qualify working for a company or for that matter any private business. However, you might try working for a union or getting a union job.

Well, congrats to Provost, and good luck to Boshko. I just got my second raise here at the shoe dept. in the local K-mart, to $6 per hour. Woo! (mind you, Montana minimum wage is $5.15, so I make more than any of my goony chums)

Well I hear back shortly about a job I had an interview for last week for Cancer Research UK shortly in Leeds. I am not optimistic (I rarely am, the competition invariably seems to be too good) but who knows, stranger things have happens...

Maybe you need to work on your interview skills? Do remember it's about selling yourself mostly, though there are some other factors involved.

It seems I need to work on everything...perhaps I should just get a new brain whilst I am at it

Well needless to say I didn't get the job despite the fact I had a good interview. What's the f**king point?
