The British government is hardly impartial in this matter, but I have no doubt that there is much truth in what they say.

The question remains, though: Is going to war a good way to handle these problems?

      Very interesting document.

As to what we should do, we must stop him from acquiring more WMD and the means to use them. It can be argued that Iraq is a soverign country and has the right to build, but not use, these weapons (just as other countries do). The problem is Husseins instability and his willingness to use them. If we wait until he has a real arsenal we face the possibility that he will use them, perhaps against Israel, in which case Isreal would retaliate with a massive strike. On the other hand Israel may also choose to strike first rather than allow Hussein to do so. Either way would be a disaster for the world. Just as we dont allow children to play with guns, Iraqs WMD must be destroyed.

If the dossier is true in the main, any attack to cause a regime change will force Saddam's hand. Those chemical and biological weapons will rain down on Israel the moment the US shouts "Charge!".

          Isreal better be prepared.

So much for Muslim solidarity. Or am I assuming wrong that Saddam's muslim feelings are purely for show?

                  go and read this :

anyway... one of the points, why weren't we concerned about this 20-10 years ago when those same weapons could make the same destruction and the west was selling those to Saddam as it was in western interests.

To fight BAD Iran... Bad Iran -- go go poison their people, kill the Kurds too if you have to... we won't say a thing.

I guess that by invading Kuvait "friends" he was a bit reckless so they beat him - legally, but there was enough reasons to leave him in power - until now that is.

Heee, and now we are getting Public Relationed in our head - how dangerous this all is.... la la la... sing me a lullaby.

What about - how many more terrorist will the war against Iraq make?

I could bet one or more than one for every father or son killed.

No, we've been assured that there won't be any trouble fighting in Iraq. Saddam is apprantly eager to give WMD to unreliable terrorist groups whose aims are completely different from his own, but not to use them in the final defense of his regime or his own life.

                        Another red-herring argument.

If you get your way you'll soon live under the threat of Iraqi missles not me.

Well I hope that Americans won't go to same levels of desperation as these people do.

And most of those people there who will die did not organise or participate in 9-11.

You are getting rid of the dictator whom western governments supported while they liked him, even though he was as bad as he is now. Actually hey chose him to sell the bio/ chemical weapons before.

When you make such outlandish statements perhaps you could provide evidence that the US or other western country sold biochem weapons to Iraq.

Do you really think Bush and Blair are so adamant about Iraq with no reason?
Do you really think you have the information they have at their disposal?
