  • Special relationship

What do you see as the meaning and bases of the "Special Relationship" between Britain and America?

Does it still exist? Did it ever exist?
One day Canada will rule the world, and then we'll all be sorry.

      I agree with this statement

Britain should go to war on the basis of a moral imperative and national strategic necessity, not because we owe it to America to do so.

I think by special relationship means that the nations like eachother

but they are still (independent) nations and should put their own health first

I think it is more healthy for Britain to support us, but that is a different issue all together

"Bush in bomber jacket, Blair with his hands wedged painfully into the pockets of too-tight jeans, the President desperately sought for anything, that would demonstrate togetherness. The term Special Relationship should be replaced with Significant Other.

Or maybe a Dom/sub power exchange...

It's like a "special relationship" between people. Beyond the occasional opportunity to screw each other there's little to recommend it.
