Sorry, I couldn't help it.

The trick isn't to break some eggs to make an omelette, it's convincing the eggs to break themselves in order to aspire to omelettehood.

I am not a damn fascist infact I hate them and you can't prove that I am.For there is [another] kind of violence, slower but just as deadly, destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night. This is the violence of institutions -- indifference, inaction, and decay. I'll try to take this post seriously and not complain about patriotism.
First of all I'm shocked 44% of americans support a national holiday. Either they are lazy or shortsighted. What happens when the next terrorists attacks happens that is 5 times worse than Sept 11? Do we make another holiday? Eventually we will run out of days.
Yes I do expect the terrorists attacks to continue. I expect Sept 11 scale attacks every 5 years. With smaller USS cole style attacks every 2 years or so.
I just got done looking at some pictures from the day. It's enough to bring you down. I still remember the news casts. I remember being shocked that they didn't censor the bad words from the amateur video shot by people on the street. It was taped earlier and they kept replaying it. It seems silly, but even in such an event I expected CNN and Fox to follow FCC guidlines.

It's been officially designated "Patriot Day" by presidential proclamation. Or so I was informed by a big flag sign in Wal-Mart above a bin of junk they couldn't move on the 4th of July.
(Ironically, we celebrated the day we ran away from the Brits)Who wants DVDs? Good prices! I swear!

hell, im not even american, so i shouldnt care either
but thousands DID die about a year ago. While the media may do a very bad job at reminding us of the events for their own pockets wellbeing, we should nonetheless remember what was a trajedy.Resident Filipina Lady Boy Expert.

There's going to be a disappointing number of TV shows relating to it. C4 (in Britain) is already running a "1 year on" themed week. Its insulting to imagine we won't remember and mourn without being bombarded with a million media images.Concrete, Abstract, or Squoingy?

i'll shed a tear for my father...
sure, i don't need a television show to remind me...
but it's a nice gesture from those who weren't effected."I've lived too long with pain. I won't know who I am without it. We have to leave this place, I am almost happy here."

We can come up with a better name than that, can't we?
How about Rememberence Day?
Hmm. I don't think anyone will get the joke.
