Anybody remember this title by TSR? Kind of an Axis & Allies, Fortress America, etc. clone.

Except that it's the most valuable monopoly in the game. I trade with people regardless of calamities for the most part, hoping that if I can earn enough, I can weather them.

I'm going to a boardgames convention this weekend where I'll definitely play Scrabble, probably Backgammon and possibly Monopoly. Plus a bunch of games no one ever heard of.

I play chess once in a great while. In high school (MANY years ago) I was captain of the team, but I'm no longer as good as I was then.

I remember Careers, too. Great game. I saw a newer version of it some time ago, and noticed they'd made some changes. The career path that was Uranium Prospecting when I was a kid is now Sports.
"THE" plus "IRS" makes "THEIRS". Coincidence? I think not.

                        CapTVK,

All the games you quoted from my post are card games, except for Go.

How do I look it up?

Do you need the charts, boards and counters or is everything online?

you need the rules (and with them the charts)

the boards and counters are online (actually you need the scenarios also, but often if your opponent has the scenario it is good enough)

do a seach (or I beleive that there is a connection from the advancedsquadleader page at MMP)

so do I, but others play differently, and I can never get all the grain (And others have the same problem)

I have never played with Advanced Civilization, but the games I have played the players are rather cooperative during trading. If you don't, everybody gets screwed, simple as that.
