Tell men how slaughtering 150 000 (mostly) innocent civilians serves justice. It´s not the population of Hiroshima and Nagasaki that killed the people of Okinawa and Manchuria and other places after all...
of course it wasn't them. but if you're asking me to cry for them when few tears are shed for those that were butchered by the japanese and ignored/accepted by the japanese people by and large in korea and china...

their military made the rivers of china and korea run red. their military was part of their state, and their state was the body and will of their people.

when someone stabbed that japanese body with a nuclear weapon, it was to be expected. it was deserved. and i have very little pity for them.

The fire bombing of Tokyo was pretty horrendous but he does have a point. German cities were being bombed from the Battle of Britain till the end of the war. Six years of bombings. Japan wasn't bombed till the US captured a place we could launch the Super Fortresses from late in the war.

There's an often overlooked fact about industry in Japan when people look at the deathtolls from firebombings and ask why it was necessary. While it is true that Japan had a number of large centralized industries, this is a nation that had only begun industrializing 90 years before the war. A lot of tool and die and small industrial processes (like ball bearings) were scattered throughout the cities of Japan in much smaller facilties sometimes run by groups as small as single families. These were much harder to destroy than large factories and extremely hard to locate. The solution? Burn whole areas to the ground. Not exactly desciminating but it got the job done.
