Well at least im not a CONSERVATIVE unlike some people......Hmph.
Being conservative means being decent... hehe..

    Now the games:

    1) Tropico (I rule as a capitalist dictator... you can be a communist one though - Basically this game is about ruling a poor island in the Gulf of Mexico or somewhere with an iron fist. I usually play as a tough dictator, arresting my [communist] opponents, harassing them and never calling elections. I rule by martial law for quite some time and pile a big amount of... umm... a pension in a bank account for retirement.)

    2) Mobile Forces (Great FPS.... well that is what I heard... I ordered it...)
For there is [another] kind of violence, slower but just as deadly, destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night. This is the violence of institutions -- indifference, inaction, and decay. This is the violence that afflicts the poor, that poisons relations between men because their skin has different colors. - Bobby Kennedy (Mindless Menance of Violence)

"BANANA POWAAAAH!!! (exclamation Zopperoni style)" - Mercator, in the OT 'What fruit are you?' thread
Join the Civ2 Democratic Game! We have a banana option in every poll just for you to vote for!
Many thanks to Zealot for wasting his time on the jobs section at Gamasutra - MarkG in the article SMAC2 IN FULL 3D? http://apolyton.net/misc/
Always thought settlers looked like Viking helmets. Took me a while to spot they were supposed to be wagons. - The pirate about Settlers in Civ 1

I want a good WWII strategy game where you can have control over all the theaters of the war. Anything close to that?

Neverwinter Nights is a little bit disappointing in my opinion.

Anyone else like the HPS sims games? Their graphics are lacking obviously, but if you're a hardcore wargame grognard, you can't get a better bang for the buck .

I completely disagree. It is nothing like Diablo, other than it shares the same fantasy/D&D theme. Gameplay is different, and so are the graphics, the levels and the structure of the storyline.
I greatly recommend that you get Dungeon Siege. If you enjoyed games of the same genre you will enjoy this game. I also recommend Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 if you're into these games (great graphics, fun gameplay) and Star Wars Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast (also great graphics & gameplay and dueling with the lightsaber and using force powers makes the game helluva fun both in single and multiplayer games).

Edit-- I also recommend Grand Theft Auto 3, which is a game where you're a car thief and you do jobs for the underworld and have to keep from getting caught by the police or killed. Excellent graphics, very fun gameplay and it'll keep you busy for a very long time.
Freedom Force is very nice if you like this kind of stuff. It's a role playing game with a comics superheroes theme. Very good graphics which make the entire game look like a genuine comic book, gameplay not always that good though, but overall it's a very fun game.

Close your eyes, and let music set you free..."

                                What about Empire Earth??

Is that a great game -- thought about buying that.
