Hmmm...how come the slightest change seems to send mine into a tailspin?
Because they're potbound and they've been overwatered! It's like forcing you and Mrs Sneak to live together in a drawer full of water! Now stop grizzling about the plant and do something about it!

Maybe I'll just smoke them.
Put some cheese on them, more likely.

It's not the volume of consumption, per se, it's what they do with it. Pick up any American recipe book. Better still, pop around to Sneak's place for a feed.

Oh hell, I think I'll go up the club for lunch now
Have a Lavazza for me.
BTW, I forgot to mention it on Saturday night. I tried a different coffee. We went over to Caffe Bianchi in Leichardt - meant to be the best source of coffee in Sydney - and asked them for a recommendation. That's what they gave us. Did you notice any difference? They ground it especially for an espresso machine. Interesting - it produces a beautiful crema every time, unlike the bought, pre-ground product (like Lavazza) which claims to be ground for an espresso machine.

Answer the bloody question! From my observation thus far, it packs about 3 times the punch of something like Lavazza. I'll send some down to you. Of course, you'd have to obtain an espresso machine. Imagine asking for one of those when the fiscal priority is new runners for the 8 year old.
PS. Not that I'm going on about Leichardt, of course, but you'd drool if you walked into the AC Butchery in Marion Street. God, it's to die for ...
PPS. Not to forget the shop up the street that sells tubs of scrumptious, freshly-made ice cream and gelati in every flavour under the sun.

I was thinking more about meeting young idealistic women there when I should have been at lectures. But that was another life.
Long, long gone. Settle for the flavours and aromas of ... sorry, I shouldn't be stirring up those memories again for you. Let me try again. At this stage in your life, you'll derive much greater pleasure from the flavours and aromas of the food and coffee. What's more, at this stage in your life, you'll actually be able to do something with the sources of these flavours and aromas.
PS. I can just see Hydey jumping up and down with delight as he realises this thread's closing in on the 300 mark. Three-fifths of the way towards Part 2.
