Now, if God created everything on this planet as you claim I'm assuming he created such things as:

    AIDS
Parasites such as Fleas, Ticks, Tsetse Flies, Chiggers etc
Other Diseases like Ebola, Cancer, TB, Malaria, Cataracts etc
The whole Predator and Prey thing, where say a Lion viciously takes down and brutally kills a Wildebeest in the name of nature - 'Survival of the Fittest' must logically be one of God's credos. He and Hitler seem to see eye to eye in so many ways...

So, if God exists - he's not a very nice deity at all!

After all, would you like to die from Leprosy - what a horrible way to go? Before you say those that catch the diseases etc deserve it, Father Damian in Molokai spent years tending Leprosy sufferers before catching it and dying himself...

God doesn't appear to give a Sh*t about his 'creations'!
He doesn't seem to be here so I'll take over for a while

The biblical view is that it was "through the devil's envy (of God) that death entered the world."

Now the problem of death and suffering probably explains why there are 2 creation stories in Genesis. The first seems to be an explanation of how God made the world. The second, the Garden of Eden story, is meant to explain why the world is so screwed up. And its our fault
Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer. Tis the rising of the moon..

Look, I just don't anymore, okay?

We were just talking about this the other day, O' great one!!!

Unfortunately, you are too ambiguous to trap him. Then again, he conveniently ignores all facts presented to him

As i said to FG, keep religious arguments out of logical/scientific debates as they cannot hope to win.

You blokes do realise that King of Rasslin will continue to spout unjustifiable remarks until the cows come home?! Why bother speak to those whom are deaf?

Just curious, AH - why do you take religious sides in debates when you are clearly not particularly religious?

None can do. This is begging the question. You are already assuming what you want to prove is true.

Exactly! You can't start out with a supposition, and deduce only what fits to be fact! That is not logical. That is not even an argument. It is nothing. Zip. Zero. Three-fifths of f*ck-all!!!

Come back with something better, or don't come back at all!

Just to elaborate on that a bit.

The quantum evaporation of black holes is a Stephen Hawking hypothesis. Due to the nature of the process, micro black holes vanish in the blink of the eye, while large black holes remain quite stable.

You still haven't answer my question yet. How does Creationism explain transitional forms?

Isn't it more than a hypothesis now?

Actually, it's not exactly what i remembered, but better evidence is better than weak evidence.

There's a simpler explanation - at about page 5 of a thread I normally change sides.

(P.S. If I witnessed the parting of a body of water, I would most certainly be intrigued and, yes, awed. But it wouldn't make me worship the source of the event. More than likely, I'd be trying to find out how the parting took place and just how one could duplicate the feat.)

Actually its more a succession of DL's on a fundy theme. I think I know who is doing it and to them I say, hello, always enjoy your work

If one was a creation "scientist" without such grossly preconceived notions as obtained from the bible, one would investigate the origin of such a parting of a sea, and conclude that we should indeed be worshipping THE ALMIGHTY GLACIER GOD!!!

I beg to differ - its not just trolling - the fact is there isn't really much to pick between evangelical Christians and evangelical atheists. They are pretty much the same animal. So what does it matter which side you are on?

This is what I call a "pot calls the kettle black" sort of debate and I'm not even sure there are "sides".

I'm happy if I offend both.
