B-52 + AC-130s are common when any kind of air support is needed. When they call for air support (for any aircraft/people under fire), the B-52 + AC-130s are called.

Since I did not support the Operation and bombing in Serbia to the extent it happened, I did support expeling of the Serb army from Kosovo. I still think clinton was "Wagging the dog" on that one.

Afghans often fire guns in the air during weddings and other celebrations.

        fire guns vs b-52???

You're making the assumption that it was indeed small arms gunfire, and not anti-aircraft fire they were supposed to be targetting.

Where are all the terror supporters? No one cries "massacre"? Why dont I see tens of Arab spokesmen on the international news channels calling Bush a war criminal and demanding a trial in the hague?

Oh, there are no Jews to blame here. Sorry, I forgot.

                      this is amazing

                      Reuters
At least 30 members of an Afghan wedding party were killed and many more wounded when a U.S. plane bombed a village in the central province of Uruzgan on Monday, Afghan officials and residents said.

                      CNN
The U.S. military said Monday an unknown number of civilians had been killed after coalition aircraft dropped bombs in an area around Tarin Kowt in southern Afghanistan.

so CNN doesnt have any people in Afganistan and has Pentagon as it's only source?

Well, I'd like to wait for the investigation to see whether there was a problem with the bomb or if the pilot simply bombed the wrong place.

And Afghan residents and officials aren't always the best of sources.

Yes our news said it was some kind of accident when they came under AA-fire. Then one things what kind of AA does afghanistan have now (taliban). Hardly any stingers if at all. The most likely would be 23mm, which are almost toys and for close combat like, range being appx 2.5km effective. i find it hard to believe that there would be a regiment of those guys there waiting planes. In any case recon has failed miserably because planes flew over them. What happened after engaging, who knows.. But still with their capacity in weapons this sounds like a bad bad bad mistake. Did the pilot panic? Why did he launch that bomb on the way? Was it a mailfunction? We'll just have to wait for investigation.. I'd like to know why they flew over AA. What failed in there... too bad though.. mistakes happen.
                          In da butt.
