I have shown that you made a mistake. The problem is you refuse to admit it. Isn't there something in your religion about pride being a sin?

"And there will be strange events in the skies--signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And down here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides. The courage of many people will falter because of the fearful fate they see coming upon the earth, because the stability of the very heavens will be broken up. Then everyone will see the Son of Man arrive on the clouds with power and great glory. So when all these things begin to happen, stand straight and look up, for your salvation is near!" --Luke 21:25-28
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the call of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, all the Christians who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and remain with him forever. --1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

What a great approach to life. How will you ever learn anything?

      • Why does he have to learn anything? He has the Bible.

You have shown nothing. You have only said that I made a mistake with no explanation to back it up. Yes, pride is a sin, but this is not about pride; I am questioning your refusal to show me some proof.

                  • Someone PLEASE quote me...

Cloud9, Those statistics show NOTHING of what you are claiming. You're trying to assert that anti-religious hate crimes are committed by non-religious people. That's not what this report says at all. The vast majority of those crimes are committed by OTHER RELIGIOUS PEOPLE. Ever hear of religious strife? That's usually between two different religions, not religicists and non-religicists. Duh.

Hmm, and look at all those hate crimes committed against homosexuals. Who forments the most anti-gay hatred? Why, fanatical religious types, that's who!

                          • Idiocy, eh?

You people have pushed me over the edge! Since you only want to insult my opinions instead of listening to them, then so be it. I don't give a darn about it. I have found a new site about theology, and only about theology. It is comprised of discussion boards with different topics in Theology. I assume that the folks here will be willing to take the Bible more literally. And that's a good thing because the Bible is what I'm MOST interested in discussing.

I may come back here when I have learned some things and have some "better" arguments for you all, but like the stuck-ups you are you'll probably just insult my intelligence some more, so what's it worth?

                            Cheers!

Translations: My theories have been torn to pieces by logic and fact, but I'm not going to admit it because I am the victim, a good Christian martyr abused by pinko-commie heathens. I refuse to accept the fact that my theories are full of holes. I refuse to acknowledge reality.

The discussion board consists of Christian topics and only Christian topics. The folks there will be good, god-fearing Christians and not the bunch of atheists like at Apolyton.

Translation: My theories have failed because of my lack of good arguments, not because my theories have holes that you could drive a truck through. I'll come back with some new crazy theories, but you'll probably be able to rip them apart too. Instead of analyzing my beliefs, I'll stick with them even though they don't make sense. It is not worth my time to admit that I am wrong.
