Greek Explosion Injures Man

ATHENS, Greece (AP) - A bomb exploded outside a ticketing office in the Greek port of Piraeus on Saturday night, injuring a man, police said.

Explosives disposal experts defused a second unexploded device in the area, and found a hand grenade and a revolver near the injured man, police said.

Authorities said they were investigating whether the injured man had been carrying the bomb when it detonated outside the ticketing office of a hydrofoil company that runs passenger trips to the Aegean islands.

The office was closed at the time but the port area was busy.

It was the second time in less than two weeks that an explosive was detonated in Piraeus.

On June 17, a hand grenade damaged the political office of a retired basketball star, who is now a socialist lawmaker in parliament. A group calling itself the Popular Resistance claimed responsibility.

Come on

1) Numerous world champinships orginized in Greece, never was an incident, all completely safe. In the US terrorist attacks killed innocent civilians in Atlanta


2)What you refer to as "terrorists" in Greece apart 17N, are small teams of dreamy children who at the very most will leave a gas canister outside some empty building at night. Hardly threatening. In the US terrorists (with the ral meaning of the word this time) kill thousands and you are unable to prevent them

3)Turkey has an interest in badmouthing Greece everychance it gets. You are reapeating that propaganda to please her for having free access to their facilities which are vital for you in the middle east.

4)American companies want to get billions of euroes for taking charge of the security in the Olympics. We don't give them that since we can do a better job and not waste all this money externally and this is anotehr reason for badmouthing us in order to handle over the security and the money to private american companies.

As I said your propaganda is washing away like a cool mid summer stream.
