I asked Ming about that one because I was also surpised since it wasn't offensive.

It seems we overdid it with Bugs talking about tits and drama queens and it was considered spam and Ming promptly deleted it

I had the misfortune of attending the autopsy of a full-term infant who died 23 hours after birth.

I suppose the bright side is that, after that brush with death, things ought to be a bit easier for me next year.

Sorry to hear that, BG. Sudden, unexpected death is always shocking. I expect most of the people who stayed on their machines were actually pretty shocked - it doesn't have to show externally. If they'd been in touch with their faculties they'd left sooner.

Which side are we on? We're on the side of the demons, Chief. We are evil men in the gardens of paradise, sent by the forces of death to spread devastation and destruction wherever we go. I'm surprised you didn't know that. --Saul Tigh

Well, I guess some of the people on the machines were in denial and shock.

Actually, if you're overly sesnitiver you should try not to die in a teaching hospital. You'd be shocked at what the younger residents say while they perform the resucitation routine.

These guys would keep a score of "earned kills" in the hopes of earning "the black crow award". During codes they would argue over who would get the credit for the kill.

My sister used to get a charge in going after codes. She did every single one she could. Said there were other people that hung back. Don't learn much that way.

Was telling this story to my firend's wife. She is a rehab doc. She said she had never done a code.

My old bosses gave me that book when I left the job and started med school. Good book, even if you're not into the gallows humor.
