    • The pub I met in (the boiling hot summers day with Starchild and Victor there) was definitely on Charing Cross Road...

      • Are you saying there's something wrong with one of my witty and highly entertaining monologues?

Feh! That's the easy part. The hard part is finding my way there and back ( with hopefully the odd pint inbetween ) on practically nothing in the way of money.

Any idea if they... uh... check for ID if there are any doubts about your age *whistles innocently*

          • Depends how old you look... and whether or not you ask for a napkin...

How are you getting down? It's a hell of a long way from Uddingston to Leicester Square.

Rich - now I think about it I think it has entrances on both sides.

                  Uddingston?

Plane or train, whichever would be cheaper I guess. And then brave the underground. Done it before, can do it again.

The question is can I do it 'within budget' hmmm....

No. The trains are 1.60 each way and the flight is £17 return. So that makes it £20.20. I'm sure I can scrounge thirty or forty together easily enough...

                              • No...

Glasgow Prestwick has negotiated the special fare of only £17 return for the Express Rail Link from London Stansted Airport to London (Liverpool Street Station)
That means it's £17 from Stansted to Liverpool Street and back. Now how much is your flight?
