You have to have an agreement to committ an unlawful act. A gun dealer would have to actually have the purchaser say "I want your help to break the law" and agree to help him. If he just sees that the purchaser's address is "Chicago, Illinois" there is no guarantee that the purchaser is actually taking the gun there. For all the seller knows, the purchaser could belong to a suburban gun club and intend to leave his gun in a locker there. Perfectly legal.
What's so funny 'bout peace, love and understanding?

the law doesn't work like that here in the states, unless your black and then the cops will plant dope on you so they can arrest you.

And similarly, the person that he gives the free gun to may do the same thing. He doesn't give them the gun under the condition that they take it home. He's just hoping they will. Again, it's a fine line, and I doubt you'd get a DA to proscute it since it's so gray.

We don't incite people to committ violence. We leave that to the police.

Yeah with comments like "Now when you see the pigs on the street and they say don't cross the barracade, go a head and cross the barracade while chanting pig go home. They really hate that."

Actually, under Daley II, the cops in Chicago have been considerably less violent towards protestors. Go figure. Even hooligans after the Bulls victories weren't treated too badly. However, when the cops think they can get away with it, they've been pretty nasty, but that's fairly rare.

Yep, now we worry just worry about them getting drunk and chasing people in their SUVS (in high speed chases), firing shots at them. (don't worry, they got off with a minor wristslap)

Yeah, but are you allowed to have weapons in your on campus housing? I know Georgia Tech is quite annoying about that. (I can't honestly see what the problem with keeping a dull sword around is.)

the university never needs to know...

besides, they have this wierd policy that says something like what goes on in a student's room, so long as it doesn't infringe upon the rights of others, or extremely illegal or dangerous, is their own damn business...

'course, we've had students break a few federal laws. at one point, the dorm i'm in, had two independent functioning nuclear reactors built by students for scavhunt. all students directly involved were, shall we say, expelled.

lol. I can imagine building a nuclear reactor in a dorm room would violate some sort of zoning law.

yeah. in chicago, it's always easy to tell the difference between UoC students, and all other college students...
