My Dad's side is mostly English, with a little bit of Swede and Scot thrown in. He was born and raised in Cardiff, Wales, but the family goes back a long ways in Devonshire. My Dad moved to Canada in '47 after the war, and then down to the US in the '60s.

My Mom's side is mostly Italian (Sicily, actually), with some English and Croat for spice. She's 2nd generation born in the USA.

    So...

    50% English
    25% Italian
    12.5% Croat
    6.25% Scot
    6.25% Swede

    Give or take

      In order of percentages...

      German (around Nuremburg)
      Irish
      Polish
      Welsh
      Scottish
      French

Wouldn't be surprised to see some others in the mix.

I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Vast majority French, with a pinch of Pole, a dash of English, and just a hint of First Nations... Lakota, IIRC.

English, German, Russian. Forget the exact amounts.

Father's father: Mostly German, with a little bit of French
Father's mother: General mismatch of German, Scandinavian, and other unknowns
Mother's side: she's half irish, half scottish

Which makes me exactly 1/4 irish, 1/4 scottish, and approximately 1/4 german plus about 1/4 unknown mismatch including some french and scandinavian

Father's side: I'm pretty sure that it's entirely Finnish.

Mother's side: Mostly Irish, but also partly German and Dutch.

                              So, approximately:
                              50% Finnish
                              25% Irish
                              15% German
                              10% Dutch
