Well, I don't think the USA sucks...It's a good team, better than ever in fact, and had a good chance of getting a tie against Germany, if not for Kahn.

And a penalty that the referee didn't recognize, but there's no guarantee it would have been a goal...Still, another example of poor referees in this WC.

      LOL!

I love it. I know those are Mexican foods. You guys crack me up!!!

I've already given my 'reasonable' answer above. The rest is just to rile up the whiners.

        They will never be equal.

Yes, because from your incredible investigation, even if nuclear war devestates the rest of the world and Spain can only send a team of mutant cockroaches, the US will still lose because they can never be equal. Yup, we'll be better! Just you wait!

That's worse. How do you resolve disagreements between referees? Who can blow whistles? What happens if there is a conflict in the referees' decisions?

You simply aren't making it better by adding more people.

Just from what I have seen, there have been complaints on how unfair the referees are, how they conspired to give SK an edge in all their games so far.

yin26, you bore me. Please try to be funny when trolling.

UR, if you really like to see games where the quality of the referee has a major impact on the outcome, you are welcome. For me, that's no fun.

Would it be churlish to point out that the expression "fair and square" is being used to describe a team who, in the latter half of the Ireland match, attempted to flatten Niall Quinn at every corner?

If you really want to know how good the US is, give them a game against Spain or Italy and watch them get their butts kicked.
We already are equal. We got as far as you did. We beat quality teams like Portugal and Mexico to get where we did. And we drawed in regulation the same team you did (Korea)- and yes the referees tended to favor Korea in that game too.

You can think Spain is better on paper all you want, but games aren't played on paper. And we did just as good as you did.

It should not be long before the USA is much better at soccer then Spain. Soccer is increasing in popularit here, and we have an increasing hispanic population, and they do care about soccer. Combine that with America's natural sports talent (Most Gold Medals at the Olympics), and we will become a soccer superpower, just as we are a military superpower(unlike Spain).

                        • If refs favoured USA in 94 like they do Korea today.. USA would be '94 world cup champion for sure! (not to mention now when they play even better football)

Actually we should of beat Korea 3-0. So we are not equal to the US.

Yeah ****ing right. My country is soccer fanatical. The US should stick to its own sports because it sucks at soccer. I mean sure they did okay against Germany and that is because Germany's playing performance was poor.

The US is no where near the quality of Spain when it comes to soccer. So eat dirt.

YOUR COUNTRY WILL NEVER BECOME A SOCCER SUPERPOWER. NEVER! Leave that to Europe and Latin America.

Of course, the US is better. At least when we lost we lost to a top soccer power, Germany(Which Spain is not). And were I a whiner like you are, their is plenty of refereeing that could have been complained about in the USA-Korea game.

"YOU DIDN'T DO AS GOOD. YOU GOT YOUR BUTT KICKED BY POLAND. P-O-L-A-N-D! HAHAHAHA."

Poland won their UEFA group. They really weren't that bad, they were just in a really tough group with Portugal(the 5th ranked team) and Korea(in the semifinals now). We had one off game.

"Yeah ****ing right. My country is soccer fanatical."

Yes but the USA is bigger and is better at sports, and we are getting more soccer fanatics in this country.

Nice Bald Assertation there. You have no arguments, so you just scream out that I am wrong. The fact is Euro-Latino dominance will come to an end- Asia has already gotten much stronger, and CONCACAF is getting stronger too. The USA is already one of Soccer's elite, making into the round of 8, and will soon have one of the best sides in the entire world. Spain will just decline.

                              • It's a pity that Giancarlo will deprestige Spain and all of us who so far find the refereeing of the world cup to be a disgrace to football.

But the refereeing in too many games so far has been disgusting... making one mistake, ok. Two mistakes, don't push it... six or seven, or more... well, something should be done about it.
