Believe it or not, but Austria traditionally has good rowers and sailing boats and even wind surfers...
We don't suck too much in women handball and got some good runners, esp. 800m women. Hm, what else: Well, we're top 16 in Ice Hockey and our swimmers are getting better every year.
What are you Croatians good at, except for Football and your 2 skiers - I mean except for Hooliganism - in this discipline Croatia is unbeatable...Two skiers, I have to say this is the funniest thing that I have seen yet. We never had skiers, nor do we have proper skiing slopes, etc.. but I guess we were lucky that that family is a Croatian one. And I guess when skiing is 0 of a sport in the country the family did not get pestered by ski beaurocrats and the like, and they were left to develop alone.
Anyway we kick your A$$ in skiing. I have to admit |I never thought we will have anyone to be better than the slovenians let alone the best in the world, and if they continue like this, Janica could just as well be the best ever.
As for the rest. We are better than Austrians in most sports
In our short history we were for a while best in basketball at the beginning (in the rest of the world of course -US doesn't count), silver from Barcelona OI, but lately we are crap last couple of years, Hanball - gold from Atalanta OI~ went downhill since too, in waterpolo - Silver Atalanta we used to kick a$$ ~ now are I guess still top 5 or so, but we lost from Italy and Spain just nowso not too good at the moment either. Womens handball, I have no idea now, but you might be better than us now, if you say Austria is on a high.
Football, well ... not to good either as we were but still holding on.
But if we were playing Austria regularly... well that would be nice.
And did I mention Wimbeldon last year, and Iva Majoli has a grand slam from a few years ago. And out of our 20-30 regular swimmers we got three medals from last EP.
ah fortunatly there is always someone who suprises us nicely. Maybe we are small, but hey there are always suprises.
As for hooligans, well I guess you have plenty of them too, but what was that on Arsenal vs Rome in Wien a few weeks ago, game abandoned... I wander whynot that you are saints either...
Ok I give you ice hockey... we barely have a team thereSocrates: "Good is That at which all things aim, If one knows what the good is, one will always do what is good." Brian: "Romanes eunt domus"

1-3 already and it's only half-time. Poor GAK, those Moscovians make a goal from every chance they get..."The world is too small in Vorarlberg". Austrian ex-vice-chancellor Hubert Gorbach in a letter to Alistar [sic] Darling, looking for a job...
