Did you watch the game? The US played really well most of the time. They only lost because of bad strategy and bad luck!

Against Mexico, since it is do or die, the US will play much harder. Also, the US team knows how to play against Mexico because they have played them very often. So, there a lot of reasons why US could beat Mexico.
