              add to the list:
yearly visits to the beach you grew up on,
long drive thru beautiful places you've never seen (scenic highways), cold rivers, old, old houses with a hundred windows all open letting the breeze come thru,
old noisy box fans, sending your kid to the camp you went to 26 years ago.....sigh.....I am trapped in the past

Styx isn't simple, especially not The Grand Illusion. Which isn't to say that it isn't enjoyable.

noisy old box fans What's better are those old oscilating metal fans. Those say grandma to me . . . think I'll call her tomorrow

Yes! My mimi had one of those heavy cast-iron oscilating ones that would slice your finger off if you "DARED even THINK about it"--mom

Styx takes me back to more complicated, yet simpler times (plus I brainwashed myself with it 24/7, so it's pretty simple for me now....or...I am so totally messed up that something mildly complex is an absolute relief!

The first spring days, when the air is warm but the water in the lake is still freezing cold. A swim in the lake and after that, rolling on the grass naked.
