If Tyson is going to win, it will have to be early. He hasn't really trained for this fight, and he has NEVER gone 12 rounds before. The longer the fight goes, the better the chances for Lewis.

Keep in mind that a win pays Tyson 20 million and he's currently 15 million in debt.
He needs that money a lot more than Lewis, who simply needs it to establish his cred as a fighter.
Now, there are a lot of people I would fight to establish cred, but Tyson is not one of them. Basically, they're asking him to step into the ring with an animal and come out on top...it really is going to boil down to the ref, because if he calls it loose, Tyson will most likely win. If it is a boxing match and not a brawl, Lewis will probably take it.
Lewis has the better chance if they call it tight or if Tyson decides to be a boxer.
But if it is a street fight or Tyson comes out wild, I think Lewis goes down.
However, the smell of feces from Lewis' trunks may prove distracting to Tyson.

What a nice microcosmic stereotype of US/English sentiments and false perceptions as well. The pinkie thrusting tea drinker vs. the public school thug.

Tyson went 14 rounds to take a points victory over Bonecrusher Smith. It's true that he doesn't like a long fight, though.

If Lewis loses, he'll become Canadian again. He's only British when he's winning.

Hmmmm... I'll have to abuse the experts on the radio report I heard as I was driving home from golf today.

But yeah, he is in no shape for a long fight. Lewis has been training for this one... Tyson hasn't.

Tyson belongs in a mental institution, not a boxing ring.

He didn't train for this at all, and he's 16 pounds over his heaviest weight.

If he doesn't win fast, he won't win at all.

It's more likely he will pull another psycho stunt.

Psycho stunts are funny. I wish Tyson would have been able to talk more up until the fight. He says funny things too.

That contrasts with the reports I've read, which say he's in better shape than he's been in for nearly a decade.

It's also reckoned the weigh-in was inaccurate. True- he's not as defined as he used to be, but that's normal for a 35 year-old man. Besides- he's still younger and lighter than Lewis.

I agree on the "nutter" points.

I don't know about that. I saw and interview the other night with Tyson who said he's been training hard for the last 3 months. But of course that could all be hype. The thing that struck me though was when they kept showing his face and his eyes, there's nothing there. It's like he's blank behind the eyes. He also made the statement that he's going for Lewis's head and he intends to get it.

Did you know that he bit Lewis's leg when they got into a brawl at a press conference? He doesn't need boxing gloves.......he needs a muzzel!

Tyson has to be my favorite boxer. I'm not really into boxing, but I'll listen to Tyson talk or people talking about Tyson just because he is so funny.

Lewis has had more fights recently, and the Rahman embarrasment is probably is still burning his ears.

And the weigh-in does appear to be inaccurate: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...-2002Jun6.html and http://news.bbc.co.uk/media/audio/38...rawling_vp.ram . (The latter is an audio--RealMedia--link.)
