Another thing, why doesn't they ban the playgrounds on schools? I just saw a show in tv the other day, where they mentioned how many kids gets injuried per year, just for playing on the playgrounds by the school
Back to topic...

There's an easy way to solve this if you are Jewish (you weren't clear on what faith you are)...simply say that the bullet is from the aforementioned war in Israel and say it's a symbol of Jewish struggle. Then hint that if he doesn't let you wear it, you'll see to it that he is labeled a "Racist anti-semite". It'll work like a charm...If you look around and think everyone else is an *******, you're the *******.

Those who voted yes are probably either a) doing it to inspire the kind of posts that question their motives, b) doing it out of spite, c) headteachers in similar schoolsConcrete, Abstract, or Squoingy?

Im back in school! =)
I went to see the principal today with my parents. I also had the teacher who I was helping, and my physics/mechanics teacher(I had him for a mechanics class this year, and for physics this year) come with me.
Heres how the conversation went(im paraphrasing):
Parents: WTF?
Principal: Your son brought a deadly weapon to school.
Parents: No he didnt, its not a functional bullet.
Teachers: WTF!? Ves(Im not posting my RL name)is a great student and hasent done anything before!
Principal: We have our policies......
Parents/teachers together: Its not even a working bullet, look at it notice the big hole on the side, the lack of a copper coating(or whatever its called that is on a bullet which gets taken off when fired), it couldnt be fired in a real gun.
Principal: (Who at this point realized mabey this wasent a good idea) What do you mean its not a weapon?
Crowd: Its not a functional bullet.
Principal: *gets Deer in head lights facial expression*Oh then thats okay.....if Ves had explained that to me in the first place this wouldnt be a problem.
Myself: I told you that already.
He went on about how this isnt a violation itself but borders on it.....he said he'd make an exception for my case, put me back in school(damn heh), and take it off my record. He mentioned that in the student handbook every student gets every year, that in it next year in the section on weapons they would mention that you cant bring in non functional weapons either.........

Hmm. That's so american. A part of me understands why they did it, but most of me doesn't.... Really unfair."Miksi ostaa koko lehmä, kun maitoa saa tölkeissä." - Birger Grönholm, fysiikanopettajani lukiossa
