You're probably thinking of The Heartland Cafe. Last time I was there it was overrun with yuppies. It's mostly a bar/resteraunt, but I guess you can get coffee there. There are at least two good coffee shops right around the corner from it, No Exit and Cafe Ennui.Originally posted by GP

I used to go there for breakfast. Was part of the yuppie horde* in there back in the mid-90's. My jazz singer gf was a sucker for urban radical chic...

The Heartland was the first place I ever ran into serious beer and lefty papers. It will always have a warm place in my heart for that.
