What is the worst religion?

Worst religion: Televangelism "God wants you to send us money!"

Seriously though, I don't think too highly of the Jehova's Witnesses or Catholic denominations.

Since mormons aren't in full force down where I am, I can't comment, though from studying their beliefs, I'm not impressed with that one either.

In general, I don't think highly of any religion that takes everything by blind faith either.

But, I'm prepared to tolerate their beliefs, so long as they don't directly attack MY beliefs.

That has always puzzled me as well.

IIRC I had written an essay on that subject in primary school where I proclaimed that if I was in India no cows would be safe from me in order to feed the starving children.

I agree with some of the stuff you listed, but not with this:

Indulgence, not abstinence.

Vengeance, not turning the other cheek.

Gratification of all ones desires.

The problem with satanism is that its teachings are basically selfish. If "Gratification of all ones desires" is ok, then its okay for paedophiles to molest children, serial murderers to kill, rapists to rape...etc.

Vengeance also appeals to our most childish and animalistic urges. Turning the other cheek does not mean letting people walk over you.

I usually do not like to compare religions merely to try to see if there is a worst one, or best one. I think that is unfair.

I just do not think that there is a worst religion, or a best religion.

Probably Scientology. There is some redeeming value to nearly all religions, but for the life of me I can't think of a single good aspect to Scientology.

Christianity is good. To my knowledge, we are not a violent militaristic Religon like Islam. We have been known for bad things like the Crusades. Etc..but consider the times. Islam was at Europes doorstep.


Oh and doesnt scientology have somthing to do with A-bombs and UFO's?
