      This is fun.

I've never had this problem before myself, and oooh, it took me within half a second to figure out the problem. Asher is right, there is certain terminology you should be acquainted with. 'Drag' means a left click held down and the mouse being moved. Not right click, which brings up a menu of various options.

The main thing about Windows is 'figure it out as you go along', there's a certain kind of logic to how things work and are laid out. It really doesn't take long to grasp. It's just a matter of knowing where to look (and you learn new tricks every day). I suppose I have been using windows 9x for almost 7 years so I suppose I have got quite used to that interface by now.

There is a certain amount of consistency, but you still need the knowledge of where the consistency is. Certainly experience with the system helps a lot.

Yeah, but I find it ridiculous when all this Linux acolytes come forth and start saying 'it isn't user friendly, use Linux instead' which is considerably more complicated to use. It is far removed from Windows, despite what claims seem to be constantly made.

You have seven years of experience with Windows Rich. If you have seven years of experience with Linux, using it will be a second nature to you too.

The real litmus test is with complete novices. I am not sure if that has been done objectively, but I have seem novices having roughly the same degree of difficulty with Windows and Linux (with one of the GUI's).

I'm sorry to say this, but I agree wholeheartedly with Asher on this one. There is no easier way to allow the user to move the taskbar around.
Even my sister managed to figure this one out on her own, and she is definately in the 'novice' catagory.

I'm just glad that AH works for the government, and not in an important industry.
