    Don't cry yet Chicken Little. It's not going to hit until 2880. What's going to happen in 2880 you ask?

    After celebrating their first World Series victory since 1908, the Chicago Cubs are sad to learn there shall not be a repeat.

    Ariel Sharon MMXXII will be leading an incursion into the West Bank when the shadow of the asteroid descending to Earth blocks his view of Pal Chairman Arafat MMXXII's Ramallah Compound.

    Just before the moment of impact, the leader of the Communist Party shouts out, "I KNOW, IT DOESN'T WORK!!! I WAS JUST BEING DIFFICULT!!!"

                Matter of interest - how certain are they that it'll hit? At that timeframe, chaos must come into play a little.

                  Any links on that? It seems to me the object is too dim to observe on an optical telescope, and radar scope won't be able to sense it at all.

                              Why give up?? Why not send a bunch of the worlds best oil drillers and have them put a nuke in the asteroid and blow it to bits, saving the world?? That seems like the most logical course of action

                              But if I have to play the game.....

                              It is 2880 and Provost is finally about to get laid but the asteroid comes 30 seconds earlier than Provost expected, and his brilliant plan is thwarted.
