    edit: indicest?

The indices indicate a situation in which the markets haven't made up their mind yet whether to hold an afterparty or face that the overhang will already be bad enough as it is.

                Those

I think he was referring to the major market indices

I actually found that it worked pretty well. At least with a young female analyst. Some wine and steaks and shop talk during a walk in the neighborhood was a good prelude...before getting down to some serious gin and tonics on the couch, while perusing Myers, Tom C. et al.

Of course, it was the books that had the desired effect. Consultants are supposed to be impervious to alcohol...

FYI: She still thinks Myers is a little hard for self-reading. But after a couple finance courses at MBA school, she won't see it that way. I really did tell her to read it in the bathtub. She said she preferred other stuff for that time...

I guess my next step is to offer reading it to her in the tub...

Most consultants I ever saw were imprevious to reason only.
"The number of political murders was a little under one million (800,000 - 900,000)." - chegitz guevara on the history of the USSR.
"I think the real figures probably are about a million or less." - David Irving on the number of Holocaust victims.

                          Ah... eh

It's quite warm up here, maybe that's why I'm a little slow to grasp what your question is.

GP, I think we've finally found a good use for economics.

I know. The only surprising thing about it is how long it took the accountants to learn that trick from the politicians.

Besides I already gave enough Econ 101 in that thread. It's not worth any more.
