Well, others have done it. Seneca made it all the way to Leeds (10 hours there and back)...Visit the Vote UK Discussion Forum!

I've lost two hours just today waiting for trains...
On the way down, the signalling outside York went haywire, apparentely, and then there was a freight train derailed at Peterborough causing all hell (when we got past Peterborough station I counted seven trains stuck waiting at successive signals waiting to get through).
On the way back, I got on the train at Kings Cross just in time, the doors shut, everything was ready, and then... nothing. The train apparentely just decided it couldn't be arsed to move. So, half an hour later they decided to use the train next door instead, and finally we got away...
Anyway, the tube was fine.
Bet you weren't expecting that kind of rant...

That shows it takes an hour just to get to Orpington. You could save at least 30 minutes each way by driving to Orpington.Originally posted by Sagacious Dolphin
Put in Eynsford to Hull. At 4:30 hrs each way, not likely.Visit the Vote UK Discussion Forum!

It put Stew's whining to shame, that's for sure...Originally posted by Seneca
David Floyd's effort has to be the most impressive, though.
How long from Eynsford to Aberystwyth?
