No, I'm not.
However, I'm fully prepared to make the other bastard die for his country though.I make no bones about my moral support for [terrorist] organizations. - chegitz guevara

By "die for your country" are you talking about a situation where the very existence of my country is under threat? Or is a broader question, which would include any war my country gets into? I believe there is a distinction. Also, are you asking whether or not we would risk death in defence of our countries, or whether or not we would knowingly sacrifice our lives - 100% aforeknowledge that you will die?
If my country was under genuine threat of destruction, I would certainly fight to defend it, thus risking death. I don't know if I would knowingly sacrifice my life - that would probably be a "heat of battle" thing, not a premeditated act. Then again, it all depends on the circumstances. One never really knows how one will react to a given situation until it happens.
Just remember the old lie - "Dulce et decorum est, pro patria mori" [paraphrase of a very bitter poem written by a British WWI soldier]

The trick isn't to break some eggs to make an omelette, it's convincing the eggs to break themselves in order to aspire to omelettehood.

A resounding 'no'. I am not willing to die for other people, for their greed and imperialist claims, over other people who are pushed into the situation. It is the elite who win, not the common man.Speaking of Erith:

Arrian: I´m talking about wether you are prepared to risk your life by protecting your country from real or imagined enemies. Not as much willingly sacrifice your life.

Kramat,
In that case, my answer is a qualified "yes." Like I said, I would sign up & fight if the U.S. were under serious threat of destruction (subjective, I know). However, I won't be joining the Army to take part in any lesser (for lack of a better word) war, even if I support its aims.

However, if Greece was attacked I'd go even though I disagree strongly.
In such an event, my only wish would be to have lived a as possible full life as I could before going to war and possibly dying there.
