Studies show that those less educated(the ignorant) and more downtrodden tend to be more superstitious than those who are educated or live comfortably.
Its also interesting to note that while about 30 percent of scientists believe in God, about 94 percent of the top scientists do not believe in God. Or other superstitions for that matter.Comment
