      Considering that yesterday you had a thread deleted just as was about to reply to it I suspect you may never have such godlike powers.

      Did you learn who snipped the thread? The reason was obvious. Feeling better today? You seemed a bit over the edge.

      Perhaps a true understanding of the importance of 42 might help.

      Sorry I can't help with that. Adams had at least one more Hitchhiker book to write. Cosmic censorship perhaps.

            Actually, a theory says that if the meaning of life is understood by someone, it is immediaetly replaced by something more bizzarre.

              That was the secret weapon that Cortez didn't even know he had. Small pox killed more Amerinds than anything else. I really don't think wearing sandals and counting to twenty had much to do with that.

              They thought the meaning of life was blood. Lots of it. Made the sun come up.

              I think 42 is a much better answer. At least no one I ever heard of wants to kill people over it.

                  Long ago I had a lecture on nuclear detection techniques. In the last lesson of the series, the lecturer left the field, and told a bit about cosmic theories. I hope I recall everything correctly.
                  Thus he spake:
                  There is a (in a suitable system of dimensions) dimensionless number in electromagnetic theory with the value 1/137, called the Fine Structure Constant. For the weak and strong interaction there are similar numbers. Now, their value depends on the density, and therefore on the size of the universe. There was a time short after Big Bang, where due to the density the electromagnetic, weak and strong interaction were so intimately coupled that the three Fine Structure Constants took the same value, which is 42. "But what was the question?"

                  Last minute of the last lecture of the year.
                  Why doing it the easy way if it is possible to do it complicated?

                    As for your AZ theory I think you will have to expand on it a bit. Perhaps if you ran it through a Matrix expansion and then divided by Arthur Dent.

                          No matter how fun that 42 thing originally was, it's been so goddamn horribly overdone that anyone who answers question "What is the meaning of life" with 42 should be charged as participant in crime against humanity. No matter whether they are janitors or presidents or Firaxis big kahunas, if they continue beating this already-to-death-beaten joke to death, they should be ceremonically disembowelled with rusty spoon. NOW.
