I think to do this right with so many movies to choose from, that there should be catagories. Then you might be able to get it down closer to the 16 for a poll.

One catagory I would like to see would be
SUNDAY MORNING HANGOVER MOVIES. (no thinking required)
My nominations in this catagory would be

        Blues Brothers
Caddy Shack (nobody better ever mention the second movie)
        Animal House
        Stripes (only the first hour)
16 Candles (not just a chick flick)
        Ghostbusters
        Airplane

        RAH
Let's hear some more catagories. The more obscure the better.

OKAY DM, you should sort through these movies and make Ballots..that way we will all have something solid to vote from
and tallying votes will be so much easier for you then.

                  Sunday morning hangovers

RAH - brilliant choices and couldn't agree with you more on Stripes. Once they get into the RV it's all over for me. But maybe that is a good thing - it inspires you to get up and seek out some greasy food to complete your recovery.
