As I recall, the Catholic version stopped before "for thine is the Kingdom...'

I think the distinction may have disappeared in recent years. At my (RC) wedding last year, when we got to that bit, I shut up and the rest of the congregation carried on. Whoops...

Funny you should mention that. I recently found an AppleIIE Emulator and downloaded an Oregon Trail rom for it. Works great

What did they hold guns to their heads and force them? I wouldn't have done it. There's no way I'd sing God Save the Queen when I was at school here, I'm not singing a different country's anthem.

Good old Canada. We aren't patriotic enough to limit our freedoms.
                I refute it thus!

When the leadership of the United States represents my views, needs, and values, then I will pledge allegiance. I refused to say it when I was in school because at that time Reagan and Bush were president. If this trend of convervative leadership continues into the future, I will instruct my children to refuse to say the pledge.

Although, if I were a dictator I would force people to pledge allegiance. Freedom just allows me to be a hypocrit.

Morning prayers and songs are an essential mean to prevent crime amongst kids. Any good conservative will tell you that.

Hey, our nuns were nicer than the public school teachers!

"Thine is the kingdom" is said after the Our Father, with some intervening ceremony from the priest. It accompanies the Our Father, but is not part of it. Capiche?
